Honoring Our Honduran Heritage
The Boston Honduran Reunion Committee (BHRC) was founded by a small group of friends and families who migrated from Honduras and sought to maintain a strong connection to their culture, traditions, and community while living in the United States. What began as a grassroots effort through the Telañean Associations quickly grew into a meaningful gathering where Hondurans could come together to celebrate their shared heritage, reconnect with loved ones, and strengthen the bonds of community far from home.
As members of the community expanded and relocated across the country, the celebration evolved into the Honduran Reunion, a longstanding tradition that now brings together generations of families and friends from across the United States and Honduras. Today, the reunion is proudly hosted each year in cities including Boston, New Orleans, California, Florida, New York, and Honduras. At the heart of this tradition is a deep commitment to preserving Honduran culture, honoring our roots, and passing down our heritage, values, and traditions to future generations, ensuring that our culture continues to thrive for years to come.
In 2025, the Boston Honduran Reunion Committee (BHRC) proudly became an officially established nonprofit organization, solidifying its commitment to preserving Honduran culture, honoring our heritage, and uniting generations of families and community members through cultural celebration and fellowship.
